So we will start with the before and afters of each room:
Kitchen Before:
Kitchen After:
See that lovely carpet, my mother in law made it! WE love it!
We painted the brown cabinets white, painted the yellow gray, and added touches of blue here and there. Blue gray and white are our kitchen colors. The picture above is of the pantry.. that is a work in progress. We want open shelves, and more baskets/buckets. The start is quite lovely I think. I especially love the cute light. :)
Downstairs bathroom before:
Downstairs after
This was easy, we just added shower curtains, curtains, towels, and a picture frame :)
Dining room before:
Dining room after:
So, I forgot to put the rest of the lampshades back on before taking this picture.. but just pretend. We totally re-painted. we added some homemade touches of picture frames on the wall. I made a very cute center piece, and that buffet table only cost us 6 bucks! This is by far my husbands favorite room.

Living room after:
I made that bench, ALL by myself.

Guest room after:
Fresh coat of paint. From ugly green to happy yellow. Blues and grays used to accent.. and nothing new was bought except for the bedding. The rest I just covered old things with new fabric and there you go.. new guest room! :)

Craft room after: (before it was just empty) sorry no picture before :(
beautiful quilt that my husbands aunt made us, and it is filled with our engagement pictures, and you know how much I love.. love.. love... pictures! (the glass containers are from our wedding. we had people we love and care about deeply write advice for us for our 1 year, 3 year, 5 year, and 10 year anniversary and we will be able to read them on each one! super fun!)
Everything from this room came right from my other guestroom at our other house we were renting.. nothing new here. :)
Office before:
office after:
My husband did this all by himself.. it is his office, and those are all of his smart pastor books like books from the FIVE years of GREEK and hebrew, and the two other langagues he had to know to get his masters. I married a very smart man :)
Everything in this room was in our living room in the house we were renting. No extra money spent here either. :)
Our bedroom before:
Bedroom after:
Everything in our bedroom was the EXACT same from our old house. WE love our bedroom, the colors, the comforter. what girl doesnt dream of having a sleigh bed! I LOVE it! we painted the wall a tealish color that matched our pillows perfectly! No money spent here other than paint.
Bathroom upstairs before:
Bathroom after:
Sparkle baby! Just bought new shower curtians and the stuff to go along with it from Amazon. Less that 30 bucks and a new look! Made a picture frame and there you go!
Now for some how to's
New buffet table for less than 6 dollars:
Started with an old entertainment thing I found on the side of the road
we spray painted it black, took the doors off and spray painted the inside black. I bought some super cheap baskets less than 2 dollars each on clearence. Spray painted them black.. added some fabric I had lying around the house.. and there you have it. A new, practically free buffet table.
If you look super close, the fabric in the chairs and the fabric in my bows on the baskets match perfectly. :)
Chevron frames how to's
start with an empty white canvas. Use painters tape to make a chevron print like this.
Paint over the strips the color that you wish:
Peel off the paint, and then add a picture in the middle:
five dollar frames :)
10 dollar curtins how to's:
Buy a shower curtian I got mine from Amazon, lay it out, and cut it in half:
Grab a friend, and help you sew it.. sew it down the middle, and then fold it over on the top and sew it on the top to make a hole for the rod.
before:
After:
Frame wall under 20 dollars:
grab a bunch of frames, spray paint them
Put them on the wall like so:
Hope you like my home! Come visit anytime! (I think I have a pretty awesome guestroom you can stay in!)
