Your baby's sensory development is exploding! His or her brain is
designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and
touch. Some research suggests that he or she may be able to hear your voice
now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to him or her, or singing a
happy tune if the mood strikes you.
Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 7 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. It's arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the
rest of it's body now. The baby's kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on it's scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix
caseosa is forming on his or her skin to prevent it from pickling in the
amniotic fluid.
We have decided on a boy name and girl name. It wasn't that hard really, since we talked about baby names when we were dating. If we have a boy we like the name....
We chose Ryland for two reasons. One, because it is a little different but not too different that it can't be pronounced or spelled out easy. Two, because Jeff's middle name is Ryan, and we thought it was close so he could be named after his daddy. The middle name Scott is also chosen for two reasons. Jeff's dad's middle name is Scott. My brothers name is also Scott. We really like sticking with the family names.
We also decided on a girl name, if our little one is a girl, her name will be....
We chose Audrey because we like the classic name, and because my great grandmother's name was Audrey. I never met her, but she raised my papa who is one of the most amazing men I know. So I know she was a wonderful lady. She would have to be to have so many children who grew up to serve the Lord. The middle name, Ann is after my mama. My mom's middle name is Ann.
There you have it. Names. Oh the fun!
